Gino Wickman created the framework, which focuses on six components: vision, people, data, issues, process, and traction.

According to Grow Exceptional, a team of experienced EOS® Implementers, these types of weekly meetings are best suited for companies with:

  • More than 10 employees but less than 250
  • Companies with a leadership team of 3-7
  • Annual revenue between $2M - $50M

In some cases, you might need a Professional EOS Implementer, and that can be expensive. That's why it's usually recommended for bigger teams with higher revenue.

Check-in (5 min)

Regardless of any meeting, start it with a win. Prioritize big company wins, but in slow weeks, they may include personal milestones of teammates, such as getting married, welcoming a new baby, or any other exciting news.

Scorecard Review (5 min)

Report on the status of your top 3 to 5 metrics. Are they on track, or are there any issues? Focus on saying whether they are on track or not and mention the numbers. For example, if one of the most important metrics is to increase the number of sign-ups, what was the total number from last week? No need for long explanations or insights.

Rock Review (5 min)

Rocks are the biggest and most valuable projects. Here, you also need to say if a project is on track or off track.

Customer/Employee Headlines (5 min)

Share critical feedback from a client or an employee. A good structure is to state the feedback in one sentence and identify whether it is good or bad. No need to explain further.

Action Item Reviews (5 min)

This is the time to review the current task list. Which tasks are done? Which tasks keep getting postponed? Discuss briefly, identify the issues, and get ready for the next section.

Issues: Identify/Discuss/Resolve (60 minutes)

After going all of the updates, results, and feedback, you'll most likely have identified a few issues. Now is the time to discuss and resolve them. Before deciding on the solutions, make sure to prioritize the top 3 issues. This is also the time to determine whether something might need to be dropped temporarily. Eliminate some tasks if necessary to give room to the new priorities.

Conclusion (5 min)

End the meeting with a review of the updated to-do list and priorities for the week.
